Year after Year samples
I've got 4 Year after Year samples to show you from the make-n-take workshop I attended. When I first saw this set, I didn't really like it, but after working with it a little, my mind has changed. Isn't that always the way it goes? I have seen some really nice cards using this set on SCS also.
I love this little elephant, he is so cute! And isn't this Soft Sky designer paper gorgeous?! I am really starting to like this color, although at first I never thought it could live up to Cool Carribean. We shall see...
Just a cute, simple card that shows off the double sided paper a bit. The flowers were stamped a second time on colored cardstock, then cut out and adhered to the main image, to help the flowers pop a little.
I like how the Spiral punch looks on this one. I own this punch, but I never think to use it. Now I will have to pull it out and dust it off. Oh, and after making a couple of cards using the Jumbo wheels, I have come to the realization that I AM wheel challenged, LOL! I have heard other people say this, but I always thought I could manage them fairly well. But on this day at the make-n-take workshop, I could not get a good image for the life of me!! Ugh.
I'm not a big fan of this card, but I think it will be a good masculine birthday card. It just now dawned on me... If I don't like this card, I didn't really have to put it on my blog. Oh, well - guess I'll leave it for now. I just had it in my head that I would show you all the samples I made. Maybe someone else will be inspired by something, even if it doesn't "speak" to me, LOL!
