Sketch Challenges

I love using sketches when I am creating a card. It gives me a starting place when I am having a creative block, or even if I'm just short on time. I feel like I waste much less time when using a sketch. There are several places to find sketches. Every Wednesday, there is a sketch challenge posted on Splitcoaststampers. There are over a hundred to choose from now. Another place I find sketches is Beate's blog, Fresh & Fun. She posts a new sketch challenge every Friday. Between the two, I have loads of inspiration. This card was created using one of Beate's recent sketches. It is a 4 1/4" square card. The stamp set is Very Punny from Stampin' Up. It was only available in January and February during Sellabration. I used Real Red, Basic Black and Whisper White cardstock, as well as Sassy designer paper. I did some paper piercing around the image and on the red strip to add some interest. The black circles on the left side were punched out with a small circle punch, then attached with black brads. The sentiment is stamped on a little tag which is adhered under the red layer. Simple and cute!
Happy Stamping!
